My Daily Routine

By: Lovely Mekh E. Garimbao

I am Juan Dela Cruz and I study at Sta. Cruz South Central

Elementary School. I am now a fourth-grade student. I wake up
early in the morning on Weekdays. Before the pandemic, my
mother always accompanies me to go to school. We usually walk
together with my other classmates. Madam Jane is my favorite
teacher. She is smart and jolly. She teaches us to pray everyday
before our class starts and after it ends.

While waiting for my mother, I and my classmates play

tumbang preso or sometimes piko in the school court. It is the best
time of the day! I got to play with my friends and laugh with them.
Mother picks me up in school at 5:15 in the afternoon.

During weekends, I get up late. I always look forward to it

because my sister cooks my favorite spaghetti for our dinner. We
play scrabble or sometimes chess every Saturday afternoon. On
Sunday morning, we go to church. Before we go home, we always
stop by in the market to buy groceries. This is how my day usually
goes by.
