Reflection
Some things that have changed are families go out to eat, instead of cooking at home,
parents had more to do with their children’s education, and children watch more T.V. now.
Another thing that has changed is that families are more worried about money now than in later
generations, which were more family centered. When I asked them, how the world has changed
since they were children. Their answers were completely different. My mom answered that
children were more disciplined and behaved better, and my friend proved it by saying that she
doesn’t have to listen to her mom now. In regard to religion my mom changed religions as she
grew up and my friend did not gain a religion as she grew up.
Some things that are the same are they both didn’t get allowances, they both had to do
chores, both of their parents use the same discipline methods, which was spanking, and both their
parents spent time with them by taking them out to eat. In doing this assignment I’ve learned that
a lot has changed though out the years, and only a few things have stayed that same.
