Note : Following discontinution of antithyroid drug treatment, about 30-50 % of patient with Graves' hyper-thyroidism relapse.
A greatly increased recurrence risk if the TSH-R (stim) Ab is still found in plasma
at the time of discontinuation of the antithyroid drug treatment, so this test can perhaps be used to predict likely relapse.
