Step Instructions
1. Insert key into ignition cylinder on
steering column, twist to the “on”
position.
2. Locate the fuel gauge on the
instrument cluster behind the
steering wheel. The gauge will have
a small icon the shape of a gas
pump.
3. Exit vehicle, and locate gas filler on
the side of vehicle. Open door.
4. Rotate cap counter clockwise to
open the tube to fill the fuel tank.
Using DOT fuel filling devices or
gas pump, fill tank. When the pump
backpressure trigger stops the
pump, the tank is full.
5. Observe the fuel gauge located in
previous steps.
6. Close Cap on Fuel Filler
7. Turn key to “off” and remove key
from vehicle ignition.
Expected Outcome Requirement Pass/Fail
The vehicle should power up,
and the gauges should come on.
The gauge should be illuminated,
and the needle should be pointing
the “E” to indicate the fuel level
is low “empty”.
Behind the door should be a
small cap.
The amount of fuel dispensed
into the tank should be within
2% of the factory stated fuel
capacity.

The fuel gauge should have a
needle pointing to the “F” Fuel level on gauge
indicates full? Y/N
