Explorer Sargent | Merced PD Explorers | Merced CA

The merced police explorers has helped me in ways that no other program ever could. Each and
every person in the program is treated with the same respect, positions, and work as a real police
officer. We may not win money but we do work for community service hours. By helping our
community I have learned to communicate with others, how to handle a situation without panic
and am able to work as a team but also be a leader when needed. I have learned what a police
officer does in our community and, the responsibility they have from directing traffic to handling a
crime scene investigation. I have been in this program for almost three years and have now
moved up rank into sargent. By doing so I know that everone must be spoken to and respected
as an equal
