• Familiarized with standard processes, needs, and problem areas in daily operations

AWARDS:
UT Austin Design Competition: First Place, Best Design (Fall 2015)
• Goal: design a coaster utilizing a multi-launch system, effectively “re-using” magnets during the launch in
order to save money and create a thrilling ride for a low cost
• Design features: 3 launches (2 forwards, one backwards), high capacity (3 trains, transfer system, load and
unload stations), footprint: 55 x 300 ft, length: 1900ft, height: 164 ft

Cornell Theme Park Entrepreneur Competition: “Best Overall Design” (Spring 2015)
• Team Goal - pitch a 5 year plan to create a theme park given a plot of land and certain restrictions
• Personal Goal- create schematics for a realistic Intamin Mega coaster; track model and surrounding theming

PROJECTS:
Custom Roller Coaster Train Design: Solidworks 2015-16 (Fall 2015) (See portfolio)
• Included Design features: Wheels, Wheel Bogies, Chassis, Seats, Restraints, Hydraulic Restraint locking mechanisms,
Permanent Magnets (for eddy current braking and LSM functionality)
• Designed realistically for easy manufacturing with sheet metal fabrication and casting

Track Spline Generation Personal Studies: Python, Blender 3D (Fall 2015)

• Coaster track generation algorithms coded in Python, spline and track visualized in Blender 3D, exported to NL2 for further
analysis
