As per internship norms it’s not possible to describe the each part of the
report. Basic details about the ISO as per report are as follows:-
What is ISO:-
11
Standards ensure desirable characteristics of products and services such
as quality, environmental friendliness, safety, reliability, efficiency and
interchange ability - and at an economical cost.
When products and services meet our expectations, we tend to take this
for granted and be unaware of the role of standards. However, when
standards are absent, we soon notice. We soon care when products turn
out to be of poor quality, do not fit, are incompatible with equipment that we
already have, are unreliable or dangerous.
When products, systems, machinery and devices work well and safely, it is
often because they meet standards. And the organization responsible for
many thousands of the standards which benefit the world is ISO.
There are lots of ISO standards, but based on the industry applications and
services main ISO standards are as follows:-
OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational health and safety analysis system)
ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management Services)
ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management Services),
ISO 22000:2005 (Food safety management system),
ISO 27001:2005(Information Security Management System),
ISO 13485 (Medical Devices),
HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control point) ,
SA 8000:2001(Social accountability standard),
WRAP (Worldwide Responsible accredited Production),
BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative),
TS 16949 (QMS for Auto Mobile Industry), etc.
12
.here i defined the basic process map how to start Basic steps for process
map is as follows:-
Project Initiation
Gap Analyses
Qms Design And Documentation
Qms Training
Qms Deployment And Implementation
Audit Preparation And Internal Audit
External Audits
Controls And Continual Improvement
There are total 162 members all over the world, certified by the ISO.
Certification boards that certify the bodies for ISO certification are:-
13
Deutscher Akk reditierungsrat (DAR)
International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA)
Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB)
Japan Accreditation Board for Conformity Assessment (JAB)
Japanese Industrial Standards Committee (JISC)
Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ)
Quality Council of India (QCI)
The Dutch Accreditation Council RvA
United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS)
Certification body is certified by these boards, and consultancy took help from
certification body for ISO certification body. Consultancy doesn’t have rights to
directly certify the organisation. Charges and time frame is also mentioned in
the report based on the data provided by consultancies and certification
bodies.
This section describes the role and responsibility of each member in the

Introduction
With the help of SIM it’s easy to inform all the staffs about all above rules,
regulations, acts, guidelines, manuals, etc. including obligations the staffs
needs to discharge for the performance at the plant. Mainly my work is to
search out the total locations formats and bind them up in the form of a
manual. Basic information about the company, including headquarters details,
locations details and history of the company.
21
Need for standing instructions manual
Apart of AQCAM and HSSE manual, there are some more formats which are
not included in HSSE and AQCAM. These formats are of
daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually basis. For the monitoring and better
understanding of the process this manual is formulated. Main purpose of this
manual is to collect these loose formats and arrange them in a systematic
manner for better understanding of process.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The internship with BSSDPL proved really fruitful for me. I learnt different and
new concepts related to the Aviation field and into plane services.
The internship has met all the objectives and its success has surpassed my
expectations. It has opened my eyes to working life, enlightened me socially,
and matured me as an adult. It has strengthened my knowledge base. Finally,
it has given me a clear sense of direction in my future studies and career as
an engineer.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Host company:
I am also pleased with the internship unit. They have actively responded to all
questions and requests. However there is always a scope for improvement
and therefore I recommend that the internship unit should adapt to more and
better rules and regulations.
