Purpose of the following acids:


 Vitamin C- Is important for the growth and repair of tissues in all
parts of the body. It helps the body make collagen, an important
protein used to make skin, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and blood
vessels.
 Methanoic Acid- This is found in the sting of ants and many other
insects. It helps the animals defend itself.
 Lactic Acid- This is produced in your muscles during exercise. It is a
metabolic byproduct that has no contribution to exercise. It causes
muscles fatigue and soreness in muscles.

3. How are ant stings treated?


 Ant stings aren’t very serious and can be easily treated. If stung by an
ant use an ice pack on the spot, take an antihistamine and use
hydrocortisone cream to relieve itching.

5. Purpose of the following salts.


 Magnesium Sulphate- Is a natural exfoliant and anti-inflammation

wounds and even to fight illness. It can also be added to any bath or
foot soak to create a luxurious at-home spa experience.
 Calcium Sulpahte- Is used for immobilizing casts and as a tablet
excipient.

6. One negative effect of sodium nitrate.


 Can cause damage to blood vessels, making arteries more likely to
harden and narrow, leading to heart disease.
