TRITONTEK TEAM TRIVIA

MECHANICS
1. This competition is open to all teams and Tritontek employees. TASC Members are not
allowed to represent the teams.
2. There will be two (2) trivia question per day. The first question will be played between
11:30am to 11:45am, and the second question will be played at 5:00pm to 5:15pm,
from June 12, 2018 to June 22, 2018. The competition will be held at the Tritontek
reception area/lobby. The representatives assigned for that trivia will gather at the
specified venue before the designated time.
3. Each team will send two (2) participants to participate and answer each trivia. Teams
are encouraged to play every member of their team and use a representative again once
all members have played at least once.
4. Each day will follow a unique category from any of the categories listed below, and both
questions for that day will come from that day’s assigned category. The categories are
as follows:
• Music
• Company History
• Social Studies
• Science and Math
• Techs and Trends
• Culture and Religion
• Sports
• Movies
5. The trivia will be read twice to the participants by a TASC designated Quiz Master. The
questions may be fill in the blanks, multiple choice or an enumeration/list type.
6. Teams will be given a piece of paper and a marker to write down their answers. Teams
must be able to answer the question before the given time limit expires. Failure to
answer the question will automatically result in the team receiving no points for this
round.
7. The time limit for each question and the number of points each correct answer is worth
will vary depending on the type of question and its difficulty. The difficulty matrix is as
follows:
a. Easy Questions - 10 seconds to answer, a correct response is worth 25 points
b. Moderate Questions - 15 seconds to answer, a correct response is worth 50
points
c. Difficult Questions - 20 seconds to answer, a correct response is worth 75 points
8. Teams with the correct answer will be given the corresponding number of points based
on the guideline above.
9. After each trivia, the category for the following day’s trivia will be given. The category
for the first trivia day will be given on June 8, 2018.
10. The points accumulated by each team throughout the competition will be added to their
points during the Team Building, to be held on June 23, 2018. These scores will
contribute to determining the Champion of the Tritontek Team Building.
