PERFORMANCE TASK

I. (10-minute Skit ) – First Quarter


Each section is asked to produce a play that will mirror the Communicative Competence
Strategies in Various Speech Situations. The leaders for each class are instructed that everyone
must take part in the presentation, especially in exchanging dialogues.

II. Performance Task (Debate) – Second Quarter


Each class has two batches of debaters. They were given the proposition
“_____________________________________________________.”
Oregon – Oxford format will be used. There are 2 sides in this format : the Affirmative
and the Negative. Each team has four constructive speakers, one rebuttal speaker and the rest of
the members were scribes. Constructive Speakers were given four minutes to deliver their
speech, whereas the Rebuttal Speakers were given three minutes. Two minutes was given to the
debaters for the preparation of their Interpellation.
Constructive Speakers will discuss the necessity, beneficiality and practicability of their
side on the proposition. During the Constructive Speech, the moderators are allowed to ask
questions.
