 Activity Describe what the learning activity will be. What

At the start of the class, students will go over the
first permanent English settlement and learn why
the English decided to colonize and picked
Jamestown as its location. Relating to the SOL
standards, the student should be able to
demonstrate knowledge about the settlement and
why it was settled and why that location was
picked. The students are going to create quizzes
relating to the reasons for English colonization and
reason why Jamestown was the site choice. The
website that the students will be using for this is

to create their own quizzes, jeopardy style, with
their own information. In This activity students
should include the main reasons for Colonization
and why the first settlement was picked at
Jamestown. Once the quizzes have been completed,
3 quizzes will be selected and the classroom will
participate in a jeopardy style classroom activity.

 Directions for Use
Please provide step-by-step instructions for your students to
use the tool to complete their assignment. Depending on the

to open the Internet. Etc..

Before you submit, delete the explanatory text (the text in small italics).
1. Open the interent
2. Type in the url: http://equizshow.com/
3. When you get to the website, on the left side
of the screen you should see a blue button that
says create. Click on this button.
4. Once you click the create button, the next
thing that should open up is a create a quiz
show window. Create a title, password and
reconfirm that password. Click the box with
that says I accept the terms and privacy policy.
5. Create the quiz show.
6. A blue window should open next. There should
be five columns and five rows.
7. YOU MUST COMPLETE ATLEAST TWO
COLUMNS AND 3 ROWS.
8. For column one, please pick a title related to
why the English settled. For column two, pick a
title related to why Jamestown was settled.
9. After you have named the columns, click save
next to the title.
10. Click on the blank blue box and write a
question in the first text box and an answer in
the second textbox. Do this until you have
completed the set requirements.
11. Once you have finished everything, scroll to the
bottom of the the page and click save and
submit.
12. Save the link in google classroom by your name
to receive credit for the work completed.
Please make sure you save the link that is
under the Play your Quiz Show.
