Operating 2-floor lifts with ARL-500 with encoder counter system

Step 1: Mount an additional door zone magnet between two floors (approximately in the middle)

Step 2: Make the following settings in ARL-500 menu:

 System settings --> Position sensing: Encoder


 System settings --> Number of floors: 3
 Door settings --> Door type settings --> Individual settings for floors

Floor-1: Auto
Floor-2: None
Floor-3: Auto
 Display settings --> Floor texts --> Floor 3: Write the same floor text written for Floor 2
 Encoder Settings --> Travel distances --> Slowing distance in high speed: The distance of 817 and 818
signals. The parameter “1.8-SLOWING DST.” in ADrive should be set 15cm lower than this value
 Encoder Settings --> Travel distances --> Stopping distance in low speed: To the same value with the
parameter “1.9-STOPING DST.” in ADrive
 Encoder Settings --> Hardware configuration --> Flag length: The length of the door zone magnet
 Exit menu and select “Yes” to save parameters
 Encoder settings --> Learn shaft
 Elevator makes a learning run. After it finishes, exit menu and select “Yes” to save parameters
 If the elevator control cabinet includes an automatic rescue (evacuation) function, then dismount the
additional door zone magnet between two floors after learning run is finished.

Step 3: Adjust the number of floor setting of the LOP placed on the 2nd floor as 3 instead of 2 (by menu or
dipswitches).

Step 4: Connect the car push button connector of the 2nd floor to the socket labeled as 3 instead of 2 on the
KABKON in the COP.
