Background

Akay-Kalinga is a non-governmental organization establish in 1998. It is a project under


Katilingban sa Kalambuan Inc. The organization offers social, educational, and socio-economic
services to street children or displaced youth.

Services

Akay-Kalinga Centre for Street Children also offers paralegal services, counseling, self-
management classes, and health programs to help street children be independent in the future.
Aside from those, they also offer educational services such as scholarships and literacy classes.
Educational services are offered to serve as alternative classes. Included in those are values-
formation and skill-building activities. They also give attention to vocational skills training and
job placement.
