Dear Ms. Alcorn,

Please accept my application to be a paraprofessional at your school as listed on the Tracy

Unified School District website. I would like to gain more experience in a classroom while
completing my bachelor’s degree in educational studies at Arizona State University. Art Freiler
has a special place in my heart since I attended the school when it opened in 2001 and had my 8th
grade promotion there as well. My ultimate goal is to teach 6th grade due to the children going
through a major change time at this age but would love any classroom to gain more experience.

I have two recommendation letters that I have enclosed along with my resume. One letter is from
your school, Mrs. Rucker, who taught me and another teacher from Tracy High School that
taught me as well. I am qualified for this position but felt I would rather let them vouch for my
qualifications then rave on and on about myself. I love working with children and would be
greatly honored to work at the school I have come to love and cherish over the years as my
family has attended. I would love to create the relationships with students that I had with my
teachers and let children know just how fun learning can be.

I am technologically savvy and can pick up any new learning topic quickly. I am good with
children and enjoying helping them learn. My goal is for students to enjoy all subjects and for the
teacher I work with to feel that I am an asset to their classroom environment.
