2018 Ninety Six Christmas Parade Application

The Town of Ninety Six is so excited to invite each and every one of you to
participate in our 2018 CHRISTMAS PARADE! Since music is known as the
universal language around the world, our theme this year is:

MUSIC MAKES THE WORLD GO ‘ROUND!

Whether you are a participant or a spectator, we are in hopes that everyone

will dress in red, green, white, gold, and/or silver in keeping with the traditional
colors of the season! If you have any questions, please call me at the 96
Visitors Center: 864-543-3396 or simply stop by! The Visitors Center is
located on Main Street, right beside the fountain! Oh, and...MERRY

GENERAL RULES:

 No living or life-sized SANTA can be in any entry. Santa will be on the fire truck at the end of the parade. LET’S
KEEP THIS SPECIAL FOR THE LITTLE ONES PLEASE.  Thanks!
 Line-up and unit assignment numbers will begin at noon @ the intersection of SW MAIN STREET & PATTERSON
DRIVE, just as last year. Parade will travel down Main Street, turning right onto Saluda Street and then turning right
again on State Street; ending up in front of Johnny’s Cheeseburger House and the 96 Primary School.
 Drivers of vehicles MUST be licensed and of age. To clarify, *NO MINORS SHALL DRIVE* any otherwise licensed
vehicle or Golf Cart.
 Once your unit has been assigned a number, please remain in your spot until the end of the parade. Do not pass for any
reason. All units must maintain proper and safe spacing
 No items may be thrown from a MOVING VEHICLE. CANDY CAN BE DISPENSED *ONLY WHEN YOU ARE
AT A COMPLETE STOP*
 ALL ANIMALS DROPPINGS/WASTE MUST BE CLEANED UP IMMEDIATELY (BEFORE, DURING, AND
AFTER PARADE)
 NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES will be allowed
 Participants are responsible for their own actions and should exercise due caution and observe common safety
practices. PLEASE BE OBSERVANT
 Completed entry forms and entry fee of $20 per vehicle/unit (payable only by check or money order to: The Town of
96) are due no later than Friday, November 23rd at 3pm. **LATE ENTRIES WILL HAVE A $10 LATE FEE
ADDED)
 Decisions of the judges will be final

photographs, video recordings and other of this even for any legitimate and/or promotional purpose. I will not hold
the Town of Ninety Six Tourism Department, The Town of Ninety Six, SC Department of Transportation, or any other
sponsor/volunteer/affiliated entity liable for my participation or actions therein.
