This document contains calculations of density and surface tension for several liquid samples using a pycnometer. The density was calculated for each sample by taking the difference between the pycnometer weight full and empty, then dividing by the volume. Surface tension was then calculated using the measured density, radius of the pycnometer, and gravitational constant. Densities ranged from 0.833 g/ml for paraffin to 1.013 g/ml for a 0.3 concentration sample. Surface tension values were all approximately 0.027 dyne/cm.
