ORIENTACIONES

• Estimados alumnos, la presente ayuda es para


que usted vea en forma resumida y clara el tema
en sí de la semana que nos toca , esperamos que
con esta ayuda pueda usted seguir la secuencia
en forma sencilla y clara
• Present Perfect
• Simple Past
PRESENT PERFECT VS SIMPLE PAST
• The present perfect is used when the time period has
NOT finished:
• I have seen three movies this week.
(This week has not finished yet.)
• The simple past is used when the time period HAS
finished:
• I saw three movies last week.
(Last week has finished.)
• The present perfect is used when the time is not
specific:
• I have seen that movie already.
(We don't know when.)
• The simple past is used when the time is clear:

• I saw that movie on Thursday.


(We know exactly when.)
We use Present Perfect with verbs in Past Participle
And the verb HAVE AND HAS( Ha, He, Han, Hemos)

1.- I have played soccer for 5 years.


( Yo he jugado futbol por 5 años)

2.- You have studied accountant since 2007


(Tú has estudiado contabilidad desde el año 2007)

3.- We have listened to the teacher several times


Nosotros/ Nosotras hemos escuchado a la profesora
varias veces.
4.- They have never danced Merengue
Ellos / Ellas nunca han bailado Merengue.

5.- She has been in Europe for ten years.


Ella ha estado en Europa por 10 años

6.- He has gone to Cuzco since 2010


Él ha ido al Cusco desde el 2010

7.- My dog has eaten its food recently


Mi Perro ha comido sus alimentos recientemente.

COMPLETE WITH PRESENT PERFECT OR SIMPLE PAST

• The present perfect is used with for and since, when
the actions have not finished yet:
• I have lived in Victoria for five years.
(I still live in Victoria.)

• The simple past is used with for and since, when the
actions have already finished:

• I lived in Victoria for five years.


(I don't live in Victoria now.)
