Sudarytojos žodis

BEGINNER’S STUDY KIT -2, tai English in Development Work-book 1 pagrindu sudaryta

mokomoji priemonė skirta norintiems padėti tvirtus anglų kalbos pradmenų pagrindus. Mokymo

priemonę sudaro įvadas ir penkios pamokos. Įvadas yra skirtas taisyklingos anglų kalbos tarties

formavimui.

INTRODUCTION

THE READING OF VOWELS IN STRESSED SYLLABLES

Balsių skaitymas kirčiuotame skiemenyje

Pagrindiniai kirčiuoto skiemens tipai:

I – atdaras skiemuo baigiasi balse, pvz., me, by arba priebalse, po kurios eina nebylioji e, pvz.,
mete, bite. Tokio tipo skiemenyse raidė skaitoma taip, kaip ji vadinama abėcėlėje: me [mɪ:], bite
[baɪt].
II – uždaras skiemuo baigiasi priebalse, pvz., pen, pit. Tokio tipo skiemenyse balsė tariama
trumpai, pvz., pen [pen], pit [pɪt].
III – uždaras skiemuo, kuriame po balsės eina priebalsė r. Tokio tipo skiemenyse balsis ilgas: car
Tokio
tipo skiemenyse balsė skaitoma kaip dvibalsis: care [kɜә], cure [kjuә], during ['djuәrɪŋ].

7
THE READING OF VOWELS IN OPEN AND CLOSED SYLLABLES

Uždarame bei atdarame kirčiuotame skiemenyje o dažnai skaitoma [ʌ]: come [kʌm], month [mʌnθ], son [sʌn].
8
THE READING OF TWO SYLLABLE WORDS

net visai praleidžiami: sister ['sɪstә], a'side [ә'saɪd], absent ['æbsnt].

Perskaitykite lentelėje esančius žodžius taisyklingai tardami:

[ɪ] [aɪ] [ju:] [ʌ] [e] [ɔu] [ɔ]

sister Cuba at'tempt total

Balsė y žymi net 3 garsus: [ɪ], [aɪ], [j]

Uždarame skiemenyje ji tariama [ɪ], pvz: pyx ['pɪks]
myth ['mɪθ]
crystal ['kristl]
Atdarame skiemenyje ir vienskiemenio žodžio gale – [aɪ], pvz: type ['taɪp]
hyper ['haɪpә]
cry ['kraɪ]
O žodžio pradžioje – [j], pvz: yes ['jes]
you ['ju:]
yell ['jel]

Perskaitykite šiuos žodžius: my, yet, sky, yard, fly, lynx, yellow, oyster, by, Sydney, nylon,
rye-bread, hymn, hyperactive.

9
THE READING OF CLOSED AND OPENED SYLLABLES WITH LETTER R
Balsių skaitymas uždarame skiemenyje su raide r

Atdaras skiemuo are ore ere ire ure

Tarimas
[eә] [ɔ:] [ɪә] [aɪә] [juә]
care more here fire cure
Pavyzdys

Uždaras skiemuo ar or er ir ur

Tarimas
[a:] [ɔ:] [ә:] [ә:] [ә:]
car fork term first turn
Pavyzdys

Pagal minėtas skaitymo taisykles naudodamiesi viršuje esančia lentele, perskaitykite žodžius:

-ar [a:] -or [ɔ:] -er [ә:] -ir [ә:] -ur [ә:]

car score cereal mire curious
share horn sermon hire curl
cart organ here shirk lure

uždarame skiemenyje, pvz., hurry ['hʌrɪ], current ['kʌrәnt].

Perskaitykite: ferry, curry, horror, terror, carry, stirrup.

Uždarame skiemenyje po w, wh, qu raidė a žymi garsą [ɔ], pvz.,what ['wɔt], wash ['wɔʃ], squash
[skwɔʃ], o raidžių junginys ar žymi garsą [ɔ:], pvz.,war [wɔ:].
Prieš dvigubą ll arba prieš l, po kurios eina kita priebalsė, raidė a žymi garsą [ɔ:]: ball [bɔ:l],
salt [sɔ:lt].

THE READING OF SENTENCES
Sakinių skaitymas

Anglų kalboje sakinyje paprastai kirčiuojami reikšminiai, arba savarankiški žodžiai, t.y.
daiktavardžiai, būdvardžiai, skaitvardžiai, veiksmažodžiai, prieveiksmini, jaustukai. Sakinyje
paprastai nekirčiuojami: artikeliai, dalelytės to, there, kai kurie įvardžiai, pagalbiniai ir modaliniai
Ilgesnis sakinys paprastai dalijamas į prasmines grupes, t.y. žodžio arba žodžių junginius,
sudarančius prasminius vienetus (sintagmas), kurie atskiriami vieni nuo kitų tono pakitimu.

Possessive Case
e.g. Tom‘s cat (Tomo katė); men‘s job (vyrų darbas); students‘ room (studentų
kambarys).
e.g. Pete‘s [pɪ:ts] dog; children‘s [tʃɪldrәnz] toys; George‘s [dʒɔ:dʒɪz] laptop; girls‘
[gә:lz] books.
Priklausymas (nuosavybės prasme) gali būti reiškiamas ir su prielinksniu of. Ši forma
vartojama dažnai, nes reiškia priklausymą ir asmeniui, ir daiktui bei reiškiniui: e.g. the capital of
Lithuania (Lietuvos sostinė), a picture of dad ( tėčio nuotrauka), the color of the tulips (tulpių
spalva),etc.
