My Sister’s Keeper

Name: Andres Andino Leon Date: 10/12/2017

1. How would you describe the family’s relationship?

the family’s relationship was very tense among them due to the
illness of the son or sister, so this led to many secrets between
them and at the same time some distrust.
2. What do you understand by the meaning My Sister’s Keeper?
I understood that it is a sister or brother who is genetically similar
to the other person who will help to fight the mortal disease of the
affected person by donating an organ or some useful part to
preserve life.

3. When looking at this family situation, what do you think of laws

that give parents the rights to their children because they are
under 18?

I think that every father has the right to lead a child but not to direct his free will in
the decisions that are very important legally and that the result will impact for the
rest of your life

4. Should children be allowed to be ‘emancipated’? Yes / No? Why?

Yes, because a child can choose who to live with if he does not trust his parents or
suffers from some child abuse, the child can also choose due to his right as a citizen
and the right to a life of his own.

5. What parts of this film touched you the most? Why and explain what you
learned from this movie?

the part in which the girl starts to say goodbye and tell her that she has spent the
best moments of her life with the people she loved and that she could love and be
loved by other people, I learned from this film that whatever your family happens,
always will be there with me in the easiest moments and in the most difficult.
