PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Panasonic North America (1986 - 1994) (1997 - Present)

I have served in a number of capacities as a contractor for the Parts


Division of the Panasonic Service and Technical Company (PSTC). This
division is responsible for supplying authorized dealers, distributors and
the general public with parts, accessories and service literature
throughout North America.

Currently hold joint responsibility for all aspects of the IT systems


supporting the Panasonic Service and Technical Company Parts Division
including but not limited to Sales and Distribution, Material Management,
Purchasing, and Data Warehousing. Work extensively with the client in
identifying business needs and establishing requirements. Responsible for
analysis, design, development, implementation and post implementation of
all projects often coordinating the efforts of multiple groups. Direct a
staff of between five to seven programmers located onsite and overseas.
Responsible for day to day maintenance of the system insuring all client
problems are resolved in a timely manner including 24/7 support. In
addition to my analyst responsibilities, I continue to be heavily involved
in the coding and testing of applications.

As a Programmer/Analyst I was involved in the development and


implementation of a large Enterprise Resource system utilizing COBOL,
CICS, CSP, IMS, DB2, VSAM, and MQ Series. This system supported all
aspects of the PSTC Parts Division. Coded and tested CICS/COBOL, CSP,
COBOL/Batch over a wide range of applications including but not limited to
Sales Order Processing, Warehousing Functions, Invoicing, Credit/Return
Authorization Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Service Literature
Subscription Processing, Excess and Obsolescence, Accounts Payable,
Accounts Receivable, Sales Reporting/Analysis.
As a Project Leader responsible for the Service Literature Distribution
system managing five programmers. Responsibilities included system
design, cost and time estimates, program coding and testing,
implementation, and user training. The project involved over 250 modules.
Applications included on-line Account and Literature maintenance,
Inventory Control, Order Processing, Purchasing and Receiving,
Subscription Maintenance and Mailings. The system distributed service
data to over 4000 Panasonic servicers nationwide.

Heavily involved in a large project to replace the existing system


warehousing functions with a vendor supplied warehouse management system.
Working closely with the vendor I established the necessary interfaces
between the existing ERP and the warehouse management system.
As an Application Specialist I was responsible for the analysis, design,
development, and implementation of various small to midsize projects.

Englehard Corporation (1994 - 1997)

Member of support and development team responsible for Order Processing,


Shipping, and Receiving. The system utilized 400+ DB2 tables, CICS/Cobol,
and CSP. Responsibilities also included operational support. Member of
the implementation support team that addressed post-implementation
problems for the newly implemented shipping system. The position was high
visibility calling for immediate solutions to user problems and concerns.

Ogdon-Allied (1986)

Responsible for the coding and testing of inventory programs for a


complex Aviation Fuel Inventory System. The system provided inventory
information relative to fuel storage tanks, fuel trucks, and pipeline and
rack capacity.

K-mart Apparel (1984 to 1986)

Participated in developing various projects such as modifications to the


Accounts Payable system to process foreign based vendors and coding,
testing, and implementation of an on-line Purchase Order System.

Responsible for maintaining both on-line and batch programs for the
Payroll, Personnel, Benefits, Taxes, and Alltax/2 systems.
