The study concluded that there were 11 Coleop-

terans found in Mt. Capistrano, Simaya, Malaybalay
City and Mt. Ronquillo, Can-ayan, Malaybalay City
Bukidnon and that they differ and have resem-
blances in their body structures and color patterns. Cyclommatus zuberi Scarabaeidae
Furthermore, beetle’s resemblance in their body
structure and color patterns are essential for their
protection against predators and for mating purpos-
es.
Scarabaeidae Carabidae

It is highly recommended to use different

methods in collecting coleopterans because some
methods are not that effective than others, such as
light trapping, use of net and baits. Another one,
Elateridae Tenebrionidae
preserve the collected beetles as soon as possible
to avoid decaying. Find places where trees and
plants are abundant because there is higher proba-
bility of coleopterans inhabiting there. Do some
interviews for the villagers on how well they
know about the coleopterans inhabiting their area
and how they make use of the beetles. Curculinidae Cerambycidae
