RESOLUTION NO. 03 SERIES OF 2018

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BARANGAY ANTI-DRUG ABUSE COUNCIL

(BADAC) PLAN FOR 2018 OF BARANGAY LUMUTAN, ATIMONAN, QUEZON

WHEREAS, pursuant to Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the “Local Government
Code of 1991”, the government at the level of the Barangay is tasked to promote the general
welfare of its constituents through the maintenance of peace and order situation thereat through
enforcement of national and local laws;

WHEREAS, DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2015-63, dated June 16, 2015 had been issued by
Hon. Mar Roxas, former Secretary of Department of the Interior and Local Government, entitled
“revitalization of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) and their Role in Drug
Clearing Operations’ purposely to emphasize to local authorities, especially the barangay
officials, their principal responsibilities in support of overall government efforts to address peace
and order, particularly to curb illegal drugs;

WHEREAS, the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) had been created to curb and
adder
ss the emerging problem in illegal drugs in the country especially at the level of the barangay;

WHEREAS, an Action Plan has been formulated by the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council and
Sangguniang Barangay of Lumutan, Atimonan, Quezon and been submitted to the offices
concerns for review and approval;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kgd. Vicente T. Bandales duly seconded by all members
present, it was
Be it RESOLVED, by the Sanggunian Barangay of Lumutan, Atimonan, Quezon to APPROVE,
as it hereby APPROVES, the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) Plan for CY. 2018.
