Mandalika MotoGP Circuit Absorbs Up to 7,000

Jakarta - Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) said that the construction of circuits
and facilities supporting MotoGP in Mandalika was able to absorb a workforce of up to 7,000
people.
ITDC President Director Abdulbar Mansoer said that the workforce would consist of permanent
and non-permanent employees.
"This circuit will create 2,000 seasonal workers, 5,000 permanent workers," Mansoer said in
Bogor, at West Java Presidential Palace on Monday (11/3/2019).
The large number of labor absorption, said Mansoer, because each race held in Mandalika, will
present 220 thousand spectators for three days, where one day there will be 75 thousand
spectators who filled up the Circuit arena.
"Because they will supply, there are 220 thousand viewers for 3 days, there are qualifications,
around 75 thousand a day. We expect this from foreigners," he said.
Mansoer revealed, the first MotoGP race in Indonesia could only be realized in 2021.
Construction of circuits and other supporting facilities began in September 2019 and was
completed at the end of 2020.
The construction was carried out by a French contractor, Vinci Construction. Where, the value of
the investment commitment is US $ 1 billion, equivalent to Rp. 14 trillion for 15 years.
"2021, we will get a game. Later in September he (Dorna) will come again to give a date
(organizing MotoGP)," he said.
