Metrological characteristics
• Management of one or two meters
• Approved for interruptible and non-interruptible measuring
systems according to MID European Directive
• Software certification with the following extensions (Welmec
Guide 7.2):
- Extension S (Software separation):
the metrological part of the software is separated from the automation one;
- Extension L (Long term data storage):
delivery data (250 deliveries) are saved and stored in a structure with MID criteria. Data can also be downloaded
via serial line or directly consulted on the display thanks to a specific tool.
- Extension T (Legally relevant data transmission): delivery data can be sent to a printer via serial line with legally
relevant protocol.

Functions
Quantity • Dual pulse counting for dual channel pulses emitters by continuous monitoring of pulses
acquisition managing according to OIML R117, ISO 6551 level B, and to API chapter 5.5 level B.
• Connection to ISOIL EM6422 via protected CanBus protocol in order to improve safety of
data trasmission, immunity against tampering and to enhance the self-diagnosis
functions.
• Acquisition of measured data from an external device (e.g Coriolis flow meter mod.
Promass by E+H) via serial line (ModBus RTU) and configuration of: slave address, registers
number and data type.
Operations
When in local mode locale VEGA T can manage product delivery according to the enabled functions and perform the
following operations:
• identify driver, customer (if required)
• insert order number (if required)
• select product, compartment and hose
• check consents and signals
• set the preset
• start product delivery from keyboard or external button
• open compartment and hose valves and start pump according to the timing set in the pertaining parameters
• manage unloading by means of preset valves. During this phase the VEGA T does not only count product but it also
carries out flow rate, temperature and automation controls
• close the preset in order to supply the exact amount of preset product
• close the compartment and hose valves and stop the pump according to the timing set in the pertaining parameters
• summarize data and print loading reports.
Delivery management
Product delivery can be performed in different modes according to the START/STOP button and to the preset of the
required quantity.
• Free discharge: the operator manages product supply by acting on the pump or on the manual valve. The electronic
counter measures the delivered quantity.
• With START/STOP (no preset): product delivery can be started and stopped with the START and STOP button thus
enabling the electronical counter to open and close the valve that intercepts product flow.
• With preset: the operator sets the desired quantity and starts product delivery with the START button. The
electronic counter opens/closes the valve in order to supply the preset quantity. Whenever required the operator
can stop, restart or end product delivery.
When in remote mode the VEGA T is controlled by an OBC (On Board Computer) and once initialized it works
independently controlling product delivery by means of the devices it is connected to. The system can control the
following functions:
• identification of driver/customer (if required)
• insert PO number (if required)
• delivery start and stop, method selection (automatic/semiautomatic.), reset of quantity
• alarm reset
• data acquisition (status)
• preliminary and final data summary
• download of product delivery data.
Remote control is achieved though serial communication with proprietary or ModBus RTU protocol.
Valves
VEGA T can manage different valve types:
• Open-Close (ON/OFF): the simplest valve only allows setting of the quantity at which the valve has to start closure.
• Two stages: two stages valve allows supply of the preset quantity by controlling the two solenoid valves (one for
Low flow and one for High flow). Flow rate values can be pre-set by acting mechanically on the valve while the VEGA
T manages low flow stage at the beginning of product delivery, high flow stage and low flow at the end of flow rate
in order to avoid splash phenomena and the formation of foam. The duration of the different phases can be set in
the specific parameters. Moreover the automatic final adjustment function can be used: if required, the preset ends
with a series of short valve openings until the exact preset value is reached.
• Multistep (digital valve): this valve not only allows managing of the initial and final low flow stage, but it also allows
for dynamic regulation of flow rate at pre-set value by acting on the solenoid valves (one NO and one NC). This
regulates the position of the valve diaphragm.
This valve has a default high flow rate value and two lower high flow rate values that can be controlled by two
digital inputs. Flow rate can alternatively be set via serial line message.
Ticket printing
VEGA T can print two configurable tickets with a set of specific parameters:
• blank ticket
this ticket has no pre-printed information. Each data has its definition and measurement unit.
• pre-printed ticket
Data fields in the form are already printed on the ticket.
Tickets can be printed with the following ISOIL printers:
• ST101 – impact dot matrix printer (blank or pre-printed ticket)
• ST201 - impact dot matrix printer (blank or pre-printed ticket)
Each digital input can be programmed as “consent” for loading (interlock) or as signal linked to a specific function.
If the configuration is made as interlock, you can select:
• input logic (OK if closed, OK if open)
• type of loading (top, bottom, top and bottom)
• action (functions with optional command to configurable D/O)
• label (signal meaning is shown in full on the display) among the following: Consent number, Manual valve, anti-
overfilling, Dead man, Dirty strainer, Emergency, Vapour recovery, Disconnect battery, etc.
Three more labels can be configured as needed: for each customized consent the operator has 4 lines of 15 digits
each.
Each input configured as signal can be associated to a specific function. It is therefore possible to select one of the
following signal types: General Signal, Remote Start, Remote Stop, Start ON/OFF, Dead man, Reset/Print, Select
local/remote etc.
Outputs
VEGA T has 12 power outputs. Each can be associated to a specific function (see Parameters Manual).
Four of these outputs can be programmed to emit pulses proportional to the measured quantity.
For each output data type of pulses (volume, compensated volume and weight) and k factor (multiplication factor) can
be defined.
