Dear Parents & Families,

My name is Miss Appenheimer—though I most often get called “Miss A” —and I

am an intern teacher from the University of Lethbridge. Beginning in January
and going until mid-April, I will be working with Miss McNulty, Mrs. Schori, and
your amazing children.

Allow me to tell you a bit about myself. I grew up in Richmond, BC, but have
lived in Lethbridge and called it home since 2009. I graduated from the UofL in
2014 with a Bachelor of Music degree, and then went back to university in 2017
to complete my Bachelor of Education. Since moving to Lethbridge, I have
become increasingly involved in the community, and that is really what inspired
me to become a teacher. I love helping children to see what they are capable of
and supporting and encouraging them as they learn and grow.

In my free time I love to read, watch my favourite tv shows, cook, make music,
swing dance, and spend as much time as I can with my friends. I also like hiking
and being outside in the coulees or mountains.

I am so looking forward to all the learning and growing we will do together in

the next few months. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to contact me. I’ve included my email, Twitter handle, and website at
the bottom of this letter—feel free to follow along!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Appenheimer
