Dear Parents/Guardians,

My name is Lauren Kaputa and I will be student teaching in your child’s class
with Mrs. Petrosky from January 21st-March 9th. I am very excited to be a Latrobe
Wildcat, and thankful for this opportunity. I am completing my second portion of
student teaching in Latrobe’s district as well at the Junior High school. Following
student teaching, I will be graduating from Seton Hill University in May with a
degree in both Elementary and Special Education

I was born and raised in the small town of Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania. I’m the
daughter of a teacher, and I couldn’t imagine going to college to pursue any other
career. When I’m not busy with school, you can find me spending time with my
friends and family and my dog-Zola. I love exercising, taking my dog for walks,
writing, and anything that involves the beach!

This placement is going to be so much fun, and I’m very excited to be

teaching in first grade. I’m excited to get to know your child, and I’m hopeful I can
help them grow as student as much as they will help me as a future educator. If
