How to Keep The Environment Clean

Keeping our environment clean is very important.

There are many ways to keep the environment clean.

We can organize a clean-up campaign to clean the

playground. Residents can go round with garbage bags

to pick up rubbish that is strewn around. A sign “No

littering” should be displayed to remind residents and others no to litter.

Another important areas in our house compound. A clean compound is

synonymous to a clean body and mind. Grass in the

house compound should be cut. Drains around the

house should be cleaned to prevent breeding of

mosquitoes. Flower pots that are not used should be

overturned to prevent water from collecting. Old

tyres and empty bottles should not be scattered around the compound. They

are potential breeding ground for the Aedes mosquitoes.

Rubbish and sold waste should not be thrown
here and there. Instead, rubbish should be collected

in garbage bags and thrown into recycling bins.

Always separate house waste. Waste paper or

paper boxes should be in the blue recycle bin. Glass

products such as glass bottles and empty glass jam containers should be in the
brown recycle bins. Any plastic bottles and containers in the red recycle bin and

things made of metal in the orange recycle bin. While the other general waste

should be thrown into the green recycle bin.
