LAC SESSION FOR ARALAING PANLIPUNAN FOR THE 2IID QUARTER SY 2017.2018

To : All PUBtIC SCHOOLS DISTRICT SUPERvISORS (PSDSs)/OIC PSDSs

ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL HEADS AND TEACHERS,
AND ALL OTHER CONCERNS:

1. ln line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10533, or the enhanced Basic Education
Act of 2013, the Department of Education issues DepEd Order No. 35, S. 2016 the policy on
The learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K to 12 Basic Education Program School-Based Continuing
Professional Development Sffategy for the lmprovement of Teaching and Learning.

2. The Araling Panlipunan (AP) has developed 2nd quarter Daily Lesson Plans/lnstructional Plans
for Grade 1-6 which will be piloted by the teachers. This is in response on one of the issues
raised that most of the teachers are dependent from the downloaded instructional plans from
the web which are not in accordance with the AP budget of work developed by the division.

3. To ensure the proper introduction of these materials for piloting and to further strengthen
the conduct of School-Based LAC Session, this office encouragetall principals to conduct LAC
session at the school level provided that the following shall be observed:
a. Orient principals/cluster heads the proper procedure and the content/topic of the
LAC session through the District Supervisor and AP Coordinator;
b. The principal shall act as the facilitator with an expert teacher who shall conduct
lecture demonstration teaching;
c. Secure approved LAC session proposal duly approved by this office which shall be
prepared by a designated school AP coordinator;
d. Conduct LAC session during Saturday;
e. Prepare Activity Completion Report (ACR) together with the documentation of the
LAC session as one of the attachments.

4. The materials for the AP LAC Session can be secured from the AP Coordinators which were
provided during their workshop.

5. All expenses for this activity shall be charged against school MOOE subject to usual accounting
and auditing rules and regulations.
