A Letter from the Student Teacher

January 20th, 2019

Dear parent/guardian:

Hello, my name Hayden Herc and I am currently a

senior at Saint Francis University. I have been assigned to

Forest Hills Middle School this semester with Mr. Sakmar. In

my last semester of my senior year he will be mentoring me and

helping me become a teacher myself. This process will last fifteen weeks ending with me fully

taking over his teaching duties. Before this happens, I would like to let you know more about

myself to assure that your child is in good hands.

As I mentioned I am a senior at Saint Francis University majoring in History and

Secondary Education along with minoring in Political Science and Global Communities. I will

be graduating on the Dean’s list in May of 2019 and have already been accepted into a Masters

of Education program. Along with this, I am involved with the History Club, Education Club,

and also serving as a member of the Student Government Association. Personally, I am a

Division 1 men’s volleyball athlete here at SFU.

I look forward to this opportunity to learn from Mr. Sakmar along with your students. If
