    1) Henkel provided General Motors India Ltd. with an acoustic and structural reinforcement part extrusion solution to resolve cracking issues in vehicle parts. 2) The previous method used by GMIL led to frequent cracks, quality holds, and rework costs. Henkel's solution of EP1414 structural pads resolved all cracking issues and improved performance with no additional labor. 3) A cost-benefit analysis showed that while Henkel's solution had a slightly higher product cost per part, it greatly reduced costs from labor, waste, quality issues, and rework - providing a total annual savings of 35,200 INR.

    Situation Currently Customer was using Reinforcement Pad from Competition.


    Crack issue were getting observed frequently.
    Crack marks were visible after TCF -Final Assembly which was creating Quality Hold for
    Vehicle dispatch.
    Lot of rework activity leading to additional cost & manpower.
    Previous Method Used Henkel Has suggested EP1414 Structural Pad which had given better performance.
    Customer has taken bulk trail on 10 Vehicles & Results were found satisfactory.
    GMI has implemented our EP 1414 Pads immediately & were very happy with
    performance.
