Program Overview
A. Purpose
Intramurals Program (IP) was carefully selected activities to help
produce a physically competent individual. This recreational activity
design with structured tournaments and contest to encourage
enjoyment, reduce stress, healthy-wellness, meet peers and have fun.
IP emphasizes and acknowledge core values such as Maka-Diyos,
Maka-tao, Makakalikasan, and Makabayan which promotes
sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork. School board, principal,
sports coordinator, and staff assigned to its contest are responsible core
of the IP. The goal of this program is 1) to provide all students with
information to become an active participant in intramural program 2) to
provide set of rules in order to function efficiently and fairly. The
Intramural Executive Committee encourages all students to take
advantage of the opportunities for fun, recreation and friendly
competition available through participation in the INCHS Intramural
Program.
B. Intramural Program Mission Statement
VISION
To protect and promote the right of every Filipino to quality, equitable,
culture-based, and complete basic education where: Students learn in a
child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating environment.
MISSION
To protect and promote the right of every Filipino to quality, equitable,
culture-based, and complete basic education where: 1) Students learn
in a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating environment,
2) Teachers facilitate learning and constantly nurture every learner, 3)
Administrators and staff, as stewards of the institution, ensure an
enabling and supportive environment for effective learning to happen,
4)Family, community, and other stakeholders are actively engaged and
share responsibility for developing life-long learners.
H. Parents’ Consent
Each player must comply a signed permit from biological
parents/guardians.
In the absence of the parents/guardians, the players’ family
member will have a personal appearance. (No Parents’ Consent, No
play Policy)
I. Rules and Eligibility Protests
All protests must be filed at the time of the incident in question
by the team captain. Sports may have a specific set of rules
regarding when a protest may be filed.
The objective of the game is for each team to pull the rope along with the
members of opposition team to their side. As soon as the second mark on the rope
from the center red mark crosses over to center line, the team to pull the rope to
their area wins the game.

Teams According to the rules of tug of war, each team can accommodate
a maximum of 8-10 members. However, the combined weight of these members
should not exceed the weight determined for the particular category. Field and
Marking The game has to be played on a flat grassy patch of land. A line referred
to as a center line is marked on the playing zone and the rope is placed in a manner
that its center mark should align the center marked on the ground. On either sides

I. Materials Requirement

The game will measure the speed, agility and witty attention of players, and
their ability to play, not as separate individuals but as a united team. A team is
composed of 5-8 players. The scores and the timekeeper are assigned. The
objective of a team is to accumulate as many points by passing the lines without
being tagged. A defensive team is called line guard while offensive team is called
the passer.

1. The game is started with toss of a coin. The winner becomes the passer.
2. A two minutes per set is given to each team to score. A three set game
will be played.
3. Once the time elapse, scorer counts the total score and assume the
positions of the passer and vice –versa.

The game will measure the flexibility, balance and coordination of players,
and their ability to play, not as separate individuals but as a united team. A team
is composed of 5-8 players. The objective of the game then is to be able to
successfully jump over the garter as it is gradually held higher by the game posts.
There should be two people holding both ends of the garter which is stretched
horizontally while others are trying to transfer across the other side of the garter.
The main goal of this game is to across over the garter without being tripped. In
each round, the height of the garter increases. The garter generally starts from the
ankle – level and then knee – level, and so on until the garter is positioned
overhead. Higher rounds demand agility since players leap with their feet first in
the air and they cross over the garter and end up landing on the side. This means
that players should be agile, mentally skilled and must have grace in order to finish
the game. Moreover, doing cartwheels (to cross the garter) in higher levels is
allowed.

D. Ground Rules
1. Players are divided into two or more teams, with a minimum number of
5-8 members per team.
2. Two members of the “it” team shall serve as “game posts” as they stand
opposite each other and hold each end of the garter. Just like in the
game ten – twenty, each team also has its own team leader, more
commonly known as the “Mother”.
3. Once a team member either touches the garter or fails to jump at a
certain level, the Mother can still save her team by taking her team
member’s turn. Failure to do so will lead to the team’s elimination by
making them the new game posts and will bring the game back to the
first level.
4. The Chinese Garter game is usually subdivided into ten levels. Most of
the time, however, the players may decide for their desired number of
levels for their game.

5. Well, the game usually ends after the highest jump. Total scores will be

F. Ground Rules
1. Rules in governed by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)
regulations. Some minor modifications have been implemented for the
Intramural Sports program to encourage sportsmanship, provide for the
safety of the participants and to adhere to time restrictions.
2. Minimum players to qualify for all points divisions will be 2 singles
participants and 1 doubles team for each organization.
3. Maximum players per grade level in all points divisions will be 2 singles
participants and 1 doubles teams.
4. Play will be governed by the rules of the U.S. Table Tennis Association.

Some minor modifications have been implemented for the Intramural
Sports program to encourage sportsmanship, provide for the safety of
the participants and to adhere to time restrictions.
2. Service may be determined by either a coin toss or a drop of the shuttle.
You win a rally if you hit the shuttle over the net and onto the floor of the
opposing side's court. You lose the rally if you hit the shuttle into the net,
or over the net but outside of the opposing side's court. You also lose

F. Ground Rules
1. Rules in governed by International Arnis Rules (IAR). Some minor
modifications have been implemented for the Intramural Sports program
to encourage sportsmanship, provide for the safety of the participants
and to adhere to time restrictions.
2. Participant/team may or may not choose to have musical
accompaniment with their performance. Music should be Ethnic Filipino
in nature and should be recorded on the cassette tapes, audio compact
discs or Stored in USB’s. Live music is not allowed. Music will be
checked the day before the competition proper.
3. In case of TIE, the highest and the lowest score of the five (5) judges
shall be eliminated; hence, the score of the remaining three (3) judges
shall be determined to break the tie.
* In case of another Tie: Repeat performance shall apply
4. The ranking of participants is based from the net score obtained which
is determined by deducting all identified point deduction/s committed if
any in accordance with the rules.
5. Each performance shall have a minimum of one (1) minute and a
maximum time limit of two (2) minutes. The official time shall start when
the player/team gives the Standard courtesy (Pugay) and it shall
officially have ended when the player/team gives the ending courtesy
(Pugay).

F. Ground Rules
1. Rules will be governed by Fédération de Internationale de Éches (FIDE).
Some minor modifications have been implemented for the Intramural
Sports program to encourage sportsmanship, provide for the safety of
the participants and to adhere to time restrictions.
B. There will be a one (1) hour limit on completion of match.
C. If the match is not completed within the one (1) hour limit, the winner
will be decided off of points captured.
D. Point values are given to each pieces as it is captured.

F. Check
a. When the king of a player can be captured by a piece of the
opponent, one says that the king is in check. For instance, the white
player moves their rook to a position such that it attacks the black king,
i.e., if black doesn't do anything about it, the rook could capture the
black king in the next move: we say that the white rook gives check. It

F. Ground Rules
1. Rules will be governed by International Sepak Takraw Federation
(ITSAF). Some minor modifications have been implemented for the
Intramural Sports program to encourage sportsmanship, provide for the
safety of the participants and to adhere to time restrictions.
2. Games of Sepak Takraw shall be played by two teams of three players.
3. The team to serve first is decided by a coin toss before the match
commences.
4. Play begins when the server is thrown the ball by a teammate and must
then kick the ball over the net whilst keeping one foot in the service
circle.
5. Players may only touch the ball with their feet, head, knees and chest.
Touching the ball with the hand or any other part of the body can result
in a fault and a point for the opposition.
6. Each team is allowed a maximum of three touches of the ball to return it
back over the net without letting it touch the ground.
7. Failure to return the ball over the net before it hits the ground results in
a point to the opposition.
8. The first team to reach 21 points wins a set. The first team to win two
sets is declared the winner.

2. A team shall be composed of not more than 12 officially registered team
members
3. The game shall be played in four quarters of ten (10) minutes each.

Intramural Sports program to encourage sportsmanship, provide for
the safety of the participants and to adhere to time restrictions.
2. A coin toss is made to start the game, the winner must choose either,
court, serve, or receive.
3. A team shall be composed of 10 members and 2 liberoes’, officially
registered team members.
4. The game shall be played in 3 sets, 25 points per set.

Association (FIFA). Some minor modifications have been implemented
for the Intramural Sports program to encourage sportsmanship, provide
for the safety of the participants and to adhere to time restrictions.
2. A coin is made to start the game.
3. A team shall be composed of not more than 15 members officially
registered team members.
4. The game shall be played in two (2) periods of thirty-five (35) minutes
each with an interval of (5) minutes.
5. The team that scores the most number of goals at the end of the match
shall be declared the winner.

modifications have been implemented for the Intramural Sports program to
encourage sportsmanship, provide for the safety of the participants and to
adhere to time restrictions.
2. A coin toss is made to start the game.
3. A team shall be composed of 12 members officially registered team
members.
4. The game shall be played in 3 sets, 25 points per set.
5. Maximum of 7 substitutes can be used in a game.
6. Two (2) halves of 20 minutes per half (running time) with 5 minutes’ interval
in between half.
7. Each team is allowed to have 1-minute time out only once per half. This
time out cannot be carried over in the next half if unused.
