Apa yang akan saya pelajari?
Nursing is a healthcare profession that entails the provision of care to meet the physical,
psychological and sociological needs of patients.

The Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National
University of Singapore, commenced the Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Nursing) programme in
August 2006. The BSc (Nursing) degree is a 3 year undergraduate programme. Students who
have performed well throughout the programme and achieved a minimum cumulative average
point of 3.2 are eligible to apply to proceed to the Honours year leading to BSc
(Nursing)(Honours).

The BSc (Nursing) aims to prepare nurses to be safe and competent practitioners. Through the
acquisition of knowledge and skills, registered nurses develop critical, analytical, and reflective
skills to deliver quality care that will improve patient outcomes. They will be prepared to work
with other healthcare professionals in various healthcare settings. Therefore, this programme
provides a broad foundation in nursing, humanities, biological and social sciences, which are
essential for preparing safe and professional nurses. In addition, the programme is designed to
provide a foundation for graduate education in nursing.

Career Prospects:

The NUS Bachelor of Science (Nursing) degree provides the first major step toward a career in
Nursing. The undergraduate degree is a first for Singapore and aims to prepare nurses for a broad
role in the delivery of a vast array of health care services locally and internationally. Once
registered with the SNB, graduates can specialise in any number of clinical areas, including
paediatrics, aged care, critical care, accident and emergency, mental health, gerontology and
oncology nursing.

 The Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'A' level certificate: applicants should satisfy the subject pre-
requisites which require a pass in any two of the following at H2 Level: Biology, Chemistry,
Physics, Computing and Mathematics.
 Any diploma from a polytechnic in Singapore.
 Equivalent international qualifications: A HL pass in an International Baccalaureate, in any two of
the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computing and Mathematics are required.

English Language Requirement: Applicants may present any of the following to fulfill the
English Language requirement: IELTS - 6.5 overall with 6.5 in Reading and Writing

Apa yang akan saya pelajari?

Keperawatan adalah profesi kesehatan yang memerlukan penyediaan perawatan untuk memenuhi
kebutuhan fisik, psikologis dan sosiologis pasien.

Pusat Studi Keperawatan Alice Lee, Sekolah Kedokteran Yong Loo Lin, Universitas Nasional Singapura,
memulai program Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Keperawatan) pada Agustus 2006. Gelar BSc (Keperawatan)
adalah program sarjana 3 tahun. Siswa yang telah melakukan dengan baik di seluruh program dan
mencapai titik kumulatif rata-rata minimal 3,2 yang memenuhi syarat untuk mengajukan permohonan
untuk melanjutkan ke tahun Honours yang mengarah ke BSc (Keperawatan) (Honours).

BSc (Keperawatan) bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan perawat untuk menjadi praktisi yang aman dan
kompeten. Melalui akuisisi pengetahuan dan keterampilan, perawat terdaftar mengembangkan
keterampilan kritis, analitis, dan reflektif untuk memberikan perawatan berkualitas yang akan
meningkatkan hasil pasien. Mereka akan siap untuk bekerja dengan profesional perawatan kesehatan
lainnya di berbagai pengaturan perawatan kesehatan. Oleh karena itu, program ini memberikan
landasan yang luas dalam keperawatan, humaniora, ilmu biologi dan sosial, yang penting untuk
mempersiapkan perawat yang aman dan profesional. Selain itu, program ini dirancang untuk
memberikan landasan bagi pendidikan pascasarjana dalam keperawatan.

Prospek karir:

Gelar Bachelor of Science (Keperawatan) NUS memberikan langkah besar pertama menuju karir di
bidang Keperawatan. Gelar sarjana adalah yang pertama untuk Singapura dan bertujuan untuk
mempersiapkan perawat untuk peran luas dalam pengiriman berbagai layanan perawatan kesehatan
lokal dan internasional. Setelah terdaftar di SNB, lulusan dapat mengkhususkan pada sejumlah bidang
klinis, termasuk pediatri, perawatan lanjut usia, perawatan kritis, kecelakaan dan keadaan darurat,
kesehatan mental, gerontologi dan perawatan onkologi.
