Recommendation Letter

It is a great pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Muhammad Abu Bakar Khalid, an undergraduate
student in our Chemical Engineering Program at National University of Science and Technology (NUST). I
came to know him during his third year of undergraduate studies when I taught him Chemical Reaction
Engineering. During this time, I was impressed by his diligence and his hardworking abilities. I was also in
evaluation panel of his Final Year Project on ‘Recovery and Reuse of Carbon Dioxide from Boiler
Exhaust’; a project of Imperial Chemicals Industries (ICI).

As a teacher and Head of Extracurricular Actives at School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME)
at NUST, I come across various students every day with a unique set of skills. Muhammad Abu Bakar is a one
of versatile student; he is perceptive, smart and an all-rounder with respect to extracurricular activities. He has
a personality which is driven to learn and to question everything that helps him understand how things work.

Muhammad Abu Bakar extracurricular strengths are equally spectacular as his intellectual or academic
accomplishments. He is an energetic and enthusiastic student. From his first year at university, he has been a
part Department’s Badminton team. On the departmental level, he has always been an active member of
various activities ranging from organizing conferences or seminars to sports activities at School of Chemical
and Materials Engineering at NUST. Being an executive member of American Institute of Chemical
Engineers (AIChE) NUST Chapter, he organized various events to help and guide the young chemical
engineers who were new to this field.

I am pleased to know him as a person and to see his surprisingly mature personality at such a young age,
capable of collaborating with others and entirely working on his own in a self-motivated manner. I am
delighted to know that Muhammad Abu Bakar is planning to enroll in a graduate school and I have no doubt
that his endless curiosity and determination will help him successfully get a master’s degree. He will be a
remarkable student at your university and a competent professional. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you
have any questions.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Salman Raza Naqvi
