Travel Services for End Semester 2018-19 and Start semester 2019-20

The applications received were evaluated on 29th April 2019 in presence of the President of the
Students’ Union and CRC. After deliberations, Verma Tours and Travels has been awarded the
contract.

The terms and conditions for the contract are as follows:

1) All vehicles must be registered and contract bearer must possess all required
legal documents.

2) The service bearer must possess inter-state taxi permits.

3) Any fines imposed on the driver due to disobedience of traffic rules must be borne by the
driver/contract bearer.

4) The students would be responsible for any kind of possessions and belongings.

5) Toll Tax and all other State taxes are to be paid by the vendor but borne by the student.
This is not applicable on cabs which are going on cash.

6) Parking charges will be paid by the vendor but borne by the student.

7) The number of people in a cab should not exceed the maximum seating capacity of the
vehicle (mentioned below).

8) All the students travelling in a cab must carry their BITS ID-cards with them while collecting
the form and while travelling.

9) The fare will be calculated as per the rates mentioned and the total amount will be split
equally among all the passengers and charged to their mess bill.

10) If the students wish to keep the cab overnight they will have to pay for the driver’s food and
accommodation.
11) The contract bearer shall be responsible for the conduct of the driver

12) In case of breach of any of terms and conditions mentioned above, the Students’ Union will
have the right to deduct 15% of the payment on every bill produced till date of establishment of
breach.

13) Toll charge applicable on journey to Delhi is Rs 350/- for Dezire(4+1) and Rs 500/- for
Innova(4+1 and above), and on journey to Jaipur is Rs 395/-.

14) The rates shall remain the same unless the cost of diesel rises by Rs 3.00/L. per litre.

15) An extra charge of Rs.1.75/per KM shall be applicable only for the distance traveled through
Hilly Terrain.

16) All decisions taken by the BITS Students’ Union will be final and binding.

17) A review shall be conducted monthly and unsatisfactory performance by the contract
bearer shall lead to immediate termination of contract.

18) It should be the duty of the student to note down KM readings and tax amount at the
beginning and end of trip. No discrepancies will be solved if KM readings are not
mentioned on the form. All the trips made only to the following destinations would be
charged according to the Fixed KM Readings.

19) This Contract is applicable for end semester 2018-19 and start semester 2019-20.
