One Word - Double Click the word.


One Sentence - Click anywhere in the sentence while holding the CTRL key.
One Line - Click the selection bar next to the line. (Selection Bar is the unmarked
column in the left document margin).
Multiple lines - Drag the selection bar next to lines that you want to highlight.
One Paragraph - Double click the selection bar next to the paragraph that you want to select.
Entire Document - Click anywhere in the selection bar while holding the CTRL key.

Tabs - provide a way to control the indentation and vertical alignment of text in a Word document. When
you press the Tab key at the keyboard, MS Word inserts a tab in your document, which move the cursor at
the next tab stop.
There are four types of tabs available in MS Word:

Left-aligned Tab. - Aligns the left edge of the text at tab stop. This is the default tab stop of
MS Word.
Right-aligned Tab. - Aligns the right edge of the text at tab stop.
Center-aligned Tab. - Centers text at tab stop.
Decimal-aligned Tab. - Decimal point (period) is aligned at tab stop
