II. RATIONALE
This month-long celebration supports the DepEd’s Every Child A Reader Program which
aims to make every Filipino child a competent reader and writer. This program commemorates
various masterpieces and famous writers who contributed to the development of Philippine literature.
This program also aims to encourage all students to showcase their talents and skills through series
of activities.

III. OBJECTIVES

At the end of month-long activities, the students are expected to:

1. Enhance students’ reading awareness through differentiated activities
2. Actively participate during contest
3. Write essay in line with the theme of the program
4. Identify famous writers who contributed the development of Philippine literature
5. Perform during the culminating activity

IV. PARTICIPANTS

The activity will be participated by the all students and teachers of L.G. Alcoba National High
School.

The conduct of NATIONAL READING MONTH (NRM) is essential and relevant. Approval of
this proposal with a budgetary requirement amounting to 2500 that will be sourced out from the funds
of the school is hereby recommended.
