I. GENERAL INFORMATION

Title: SCIENCE MONTH CELEBRATION

Date: SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER, 2022
Total Cost: Php 15, 000.00
Venue: Pasian National High School (Purok-1, Pasian, Monkayo Davao de Oro)

II. RATIONALE:

“GENESCAPE: Priming Perspective, Amplifying Advancement” is this year’s theme

adopted by National Science Club. It aims to draw attention to scientific knowledge and
technological applications that have massive impacts on the lives of Filipinos through the kind of
development that can bring about positive, meaningful, and sustainable change.

Despite the pandemic, the Science Department will conduct a Science Month celebration
with a great range of events and activities that will showcase the skills and knowledge of
students in the subject. Moreover, it aims to motivate them to engage in Science at home and in
the classroom.

III. OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the program, the participants are expected to:

a. organize Science Club new members and set of officers;
b. strengthen student’s engagement on the subject; and
c. showcase the skills and knowledge thru various activities related to the subject.

IV. METHODOLOGY:

a. Weekly Activities Includes:

September 5-9, 2022 Week 1:

a. Opening and orientation to all teachers about Science Month Celebration.
b. The teachers especially the advisers will disseminate the information to the students.
c. Trivia Questions (Worth 20 Pesos for every correct answer).
 September 19-23, 2022 Week 2:
a. Trivia Questions (Worth 20 Pesos for every correct answer).

V. EXPECTED PARTICIPANTS

All the Grade 7 – 12 students of Pasian National High School.

VIII. SOCIO-ECONOMIC JUSTIFICATION

 These activities will strengthen the students’ engagement in Science subject. This will also
remind them on taking care of our Mother Earth since we are currently experiencing
tremendous typhoons and forest fires due to climate change.
IX. MONITORING AND EVALUATION

Students’ monitoring will be done weekly thru their Group Chat. Evaluation of the outputs will
be done at the scheduled dates. The Science Coordinator and the teachers will be evaluated
thru their accomplishment reports presented.

X. SUSTAINABILITY

The result of this activity will enhance the students’ knowledge and awareness on what is
happening in the world especially about typhoons and forest fires that will put the lives of living
thing in danger. Moreover, this activity will encourage students to express their talents and
creativity, motivate and develop self-confidence by recognizing their excellence and hard work
and most of all, to raise awareness about the new learning structure caused by the pandemic.
