The class will be divided into four(4) groups and the teacher will be
the one to choose representative for Asian Parliamentary Debate
which consist of three(3) students, both Government and Opposition
side. Each speaker will be given seven(7) minutes to deliver their
speech.

Motion: This house believe that school uniform does not make a
effective place to learn.

Team 1 Government side

Student 1 (PM):
School uniform can create sense of unity and reduce distractions in
the classroom.
Student 2 (DPM):
By making everybody wear the same uniform to school each day it
reminds them of where they are and how they are supposed to
behave.
Student 3 (GW):
Having pupils not wear a school uniform means that it’s impossible to
tell who is a student there just by looking at them. By wearing a
uniform, pupils are bound together by what they’re wearing and will
feel closer together.

Team 2 Opposition side

Student 1 (LO):
Why do we need the uniforms. It would just cost the school more
money and not all kids can get a new clean uniform in one day.

Student 2 (DPL):
Poorer students are disadvantaged because they can not afford as
many uniforms or uniforms as nice as their richer counterparts.
Wearing the same uniform everyday, means extra washing, which in
turn equates to a higher probability to fade, wear and tear.

Student 3 (OW):
Uniform makes students very identifiable and emphasises the
divisions between schools, making it very easy for bullying and fights
to develop between students from rival institutions as they travel to
and from school.

The teacher will give a generalization of the topic.

The teacher will call random students to recap the topic.
