WEEKLY JOURNALS

This is where you think about your FMP learning journey and development.
Don’t simply describe what you did - consider what you have learnt and how this has benefitted
your project. What do you need to improve?

THIS IS JUST GUIDANCE THAT YOU NEED TO ADAPT TO YOUR OWN PROJECT. YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR
OWN PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS SHOULD REFELCT THAT.

Week six – Planning/filming

PLANNING

What did you learn from your planning This week I learned about properly organising my cast and
this week? crew as this is very important for filming. People tend to
unreliable unless they are being payed to act or be a crewman
in a production so I have learned ways to lower the chance of
people of cancelling and increasing ways to make sure people
are reliable and to make sure they honour what they agree to
when I confirm with my cast and crew when I need them to be
in my production. I worked it out so that I am acting in my
production and if they need me in there’s I will happily do it or if
they need a camera man ill help them therefore, they act in
my production as we are relying on each other which induces
a necessary level of loyalty.

What issues did you encounter and On one of the days that I was filming I was pouring down with
how did you overcome them? rain all day and I needed to film outside so, I had to cancel the
outside shoot and then when wait for some of my other actors
to show up, they cancelled last minute. In the end I just
decided to scrap the scene completely and do a different one
as they weren’t free any other day so I then had to think of
what I could do instead

How did you ensure that you are I made sure that I had all my important Pre production done
prepared for filming? like my script, Location recces and my story boards so that I
could follow them as I was filming and also so my actors know
what they are doing. I also double checked with my teachers
to see if I needed to do anything else before I started filming
and the said that I was fine and ready to film

How have you ensured your actors I have managed to organise my cast and crew very well. The
and crew will be available? way I did this is I asked them when and what says they were
free and then once they had told me, I booked the days that
they were free and I told them what days I wanted them and
where they should be. I am doing a lot of scenes separate as
some of my cast aren’t free so I’ll have to do lots of different
days shooting.
How well have you been able to I have been able to organise my location and transport very
organise locations and transport? well and most of it is in Henley anyways so I normally ask my
actors to film for me in our frees and also if they can stay till 4 so
that we can film. As I am the main actor now, I managed to
get my friend to film me on the train and waiting on the
platform for one of my scenes. I normally take the train to
college anyways so it was easier for me to film there as its my
route to college.

Are you on track for the week? If not, I am a little bit behind on my weekly blog a I didn’t have time
how far behind are you? to do it on the Friday but that all I need to do

What work do you need to complete I need to finish my weekly blog at home
outside of lessons to stay on track?
