PE4 - TEAM SPORTS ‘VOLLEYBALL’

I. DESCRIPTION

This unit deals with the basic forms, movements, and


fundamentals of the game such as: receiving, setting, spiking,
serving and blocking. It also includes the playing strategies,
understanding of the rules, and mastery of rolling and riving,
which are very essential in playing the game.

II. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, the students are expected to exhibit


competency in serving, receiving, setting, and spiking.
Specifically, they will be able to:

1. be familiar with the standard dimension of the court,


facilities, and equipment;

2. Learn the terminology used in Volleyball;

3. Develop the fundamental skills through participation; and

4. Develop desirable social attitude among students and


towards the game.
