MEANING:

Cheerdance is the dance portion of cheerleading, where tumbling and

stunts are not included. It is made of 4 parts, namely pom dance, jazz,
hiphop and line dance. Each performance is about 2.5 minutes, and is
judged by the dance skills and choreography, as well as team coordination.
This sport is full of energy, from the competitors’ smiles and acting
expressions.
In my experience:

That picture on the top that is my very first Cheer Dance Competition
with my grade 10 classmates. I had no idea what I was doing and was
embarrassed. The reason I joined was because it was just another sport to
try and for my grade also. I had no gymnastic experience at all and
couldn't even do a simple forward roll. That is a public school from 7th
grade to 12th and we have 7 groups of competitors and over 2,000 people.
I really didn't want all of these people I had never met to judge me, just
because I was only a not popular girl. In the end though, I never ran into
any problems because of it. Practices got longer and harder, frustration
grew stronger, and tensions rose. Having morning practice at 7AM to
11PM and we never give up to that fight for our section.
