To Whom It May Concern,

I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Megan Borich for the past school year in my 3 rd grade
classroom. She was placed with me last fall for a few hours each week in preparation for student
teaching, and then joined our classroom fulltime in January this semester. She has been a great asset to
our classroom, completely dependable and professional. She has tremendous initiative, a desire to
continue to learn, and a reflective practitioner outlook.

Megan enthusiastically participated in every aspect of teaching, often working many extra hours to make
sure she was fully prepared. She was responsible for the planning and implementation of all third grade
curriculum. She has become more knowledgeable in using assessments as she plans with our grade level
team. The guided reading lessons that she plans include higher level thinking that keep her students
engaged. She is respectful and kind to all students and the class responds positively to her management
style. The students loved having her participate in our Math and Family night and our school carnival,
both of which are held outside of school hours. Megan also participated in parent/teacher conferences,
Professional Development workshops, and the third grade Professional Learning Community weekly
meetings.

She is a hard worker. In addition to all the hours Megan put into her student teaching and required
classwork, she continued to hold a part time job and was a U of A Student Ambassador, helping with new
student orientation.

I have been teaching for 15 years, and she is the 7 th student teacher I’ve mentored. I am excited to say
that Megan Borich is a passionate, energetic, and talented teacher who I would highly recommend for
