Idea - (rough)
To create a promotional video/website for a event planner which allows people to
plan anything from a date, a birthday party, a stag/hen do etc. this will allow people
to put in details of their perfect night out (or what they’re looking to do if they want
to spice things up) also ways of obtaining tickets through links or booking in
advance etc.
 Competitors
Many different apps have similar features such as spotify, instagram etc. however my
website will be the most efficient, and have the easiest and clearest way of finding artists
as well as finding the best clubs and places to go in a specific area or of finding new
artists and finding out more about them.

Designmynight is also a major competitor, however, the website is very vague and not

very easy to use, as well as not having a age cap to get an idea of where the party

should go.
Uber started as a local cab firm in san
francisco and is an example of a small
company which started off locally and slowly
expanded nationally and even globally and
could be good inspiration for my app and
how a small company can expand

Idea for the website to have links to forums

and apps which can be used to develop skills
and promote awareness to up and coming
djs or clubs or events etc. as well as links to
popular record companies with top rated
songs so you can listen to
Time Out
This is a competitor for my website idea as they are doing a similar idea to my
website however I feel that their website is very complicated and not the easiest to
use so i plan to make my website straightforward and easy us so that everyone
can use it and not have to deal with any stress in the process.
Design my night
Is another competitor, however it seems very all over the place and jumbled. My
night planer is going to be simpler and easier to use and focusing on specific
people and not on a wide range.
Idea for promotional video
History of clubs and evolution of clubs and club music. How local clubs have
changed over time and small djs have become bigger and better influencers. Also
how clubs and festivals can improve mental health. I would involve members of
my target audience (18-25) in order to carry out my idea.

These charts show the audience we are trying to target, with the majority of the people being 18 with a handful being 25-30. So the
main focus would be these age groups, which means we should be providing a more suitable service for them, providing them with
dates, times, places, travel etc. as many people find it difficult to find events that they would enjoy or are similar to events they are
already going to so this will be a place which makes it all easier to find. Those that are 18-20 may be less likely to know clubs and
places suitable for them as they are new to going out meaning they do not know as many places, as well as getting there and so on.

We also get an idea of the place we should base the website which would be around London. However, not many people usually
plan a night out, so the main focus would probably be for a big event etc.

Interviews: I spoke to an 18 year old girl who said that Burger and bubbles was a good place to have brunch with the girls but
wouldn't want to go there for a date. She also recommended Atik in Dartford and said it was good for a local nightclub setting as she
lived in Bexelyheath.
