Telling stories (past simple /past continuous)

Vacations: It was summer of 2011 as I was finishing my master's so Juan, my boyfriend and I
decided to go to Portugal. We are living in Spain at that time, in Cadiz, so we were really near
Portugal; it was just at west side.

We went by car so we could stop in beaches and villages. The people were friendly and the food
was delicious. I think almost every restaurant had a barbecue in the kitchen.

Last year: I didn’t start anything new, but I think I improved some aspects about healthier lifestyle.
For example; I ate more vegetables and fruits, I rank more water and less alcohol and I trained at
least 5 days a week.

Studies:

First I studied music in Chile, then we moved to Spain and there I did my PHD, in Cadiz, we were
living in Cadiz at that time. We lived 7 years in Cadiz. When we come back to Chile, I studied
statistic for social sciences.

Yes, I went there two years ago.

I’ve tried rafting and canopy. We usually go to Pucón, so I did it every time we went.

Futures Plans (present continuous)

Questions:

What are you doing next weekend/month/year?

Are you standing at home?

Are you going out?

Are you going to do something special…?

Is Paul working next week? Is Paul going to work one day?

It raining tomorrow? It is going to rain?

Answers:

Saturday morning I’m going to get up later and then I´m going to the gym, after we´re going to
“Cajón de Maipo” for lunch and we might stay in the night but, it not sure, we’ll see.

Futures predictions and possibilities (Wil, won´t/ May or might)

We might have flying cars and more technology, but only for someone’s or it might not be
happen/ may be not,

I think we will have more pollution and poverty.
