A. Preliminary Activities
Teachers Activity Pupils Activity
1. Drill
Look at the pictures and tell what
have you observed.
3. Motivation
Did you help your parents at home
especially during weekends?

5. Summarizing the lesson
What is proportion?
Proportion is the equality of
the two ratios.
What are the terms of proportion?
The terms of the proportion
are 1st term, 2nd term, 3rd term
and 4th tem.
What is the difference between
mean and extreme?
Mean are the numbers found
in the middle while extreme
are the number outside.
How do we find the missing term
in a proportion?
To find the missing term in a
proportion, get the product of
the mean or extreme then
divide it to the product with the
variable.(n).
IV. ASSESSMENT
Find the missing terms.
1.) 3 = n
2 12
2.) 4 = 5
n 20
3.) 4:16 = n:8
4.) 27:n = 9:15
5.) 15:n = 10:8
1. n=18
2. n=16
3. n=3
4.n=45
5.n=12
V. ASSIGNMENT
Solve the following problems.
