a. Look at the pictures, count the number of girls and boys in their respective rows.
b. How many are girls? How many are boys? There are 9 girls and 6 boys
Ask: What are the non-living things that you can find inside the classroom? What are the
living things inside the classroom?
Let the pupils count the number of non-living things that they can find inside the
classroom and the number of living things.
How do you write the comparison of the number of non-living things to the number of living
things using colon form?
Example: 50:49
Let the pupils count other objects or things inside the classroom.(ceiling fan, tables,
cabinets, etc.)
Let them write the ratio in three ways (colon, word, fraction form)
Value: Did you count the objects correctly? Why? What will you do if you are given objects
to use? How will you handle them?
