Title: Perform a General Computer Maintenance

Performance Objective: In a workplace, given the supplies and computer

set, you are to perform the computer maintenance tasks for one (1) hour
in accordance to the standard procedures.

Supplies/Materials:
TR and CBLM
Equipment:
1. PPE
2. Computer (Laptop or desktop)

Steps/Procedure:

1. Proceed to the station with a PC Unit assigned to you.

2. Perform the following computer maintenance tasks:
a. Run Windows Hardware Troubleshooter (built-in diagnostic
tool)
b. Fix the Power Supply error by clicking “Apply Fix”
c. If fixed, restart the computer to complete maintenance.
Otherwise, proceed to the following steps:

a. Look for a compatible power supply.

b. Replace the damaged power supply with the new one.
f. Turn on the computer to test if it works with the new power
supply.
g. Cover the system unit.
