no nothing as of yet . i have received an email from the college freedom of info manager . he admits that they bulk buy . he used that as his excuse why it will be difficult to
provide indivdual reciept . once u get i will forward to you . to do something about it . all we want is 13 sets of halfords top notch super empolyability tool sets and £180
each for 2 students who turned 16 in October.  if you know any one have a word please its a resonable request and the class agrees that our inferior tool boxes etc can be
donated to the high schools and extra classes out with college .

I write to you today, as the Elected Class rep, of Light vehicle maintenance Class B Year 1 New College Lanarkshire, i recieved 13 votes to 1 .  And its been
non stop, There are currently issues with the Funding dept, various backlog issues and students not understanding some of the procedures for releasement of

read) about the suffering of those students that seem to be an anomaly, due to turning 16 during the term and not receiving E.M.A until January of 2017, this
issue though has lead me to something that could be a problem and i hope its not , let me explain  today whilst getting information from the funding Dept, i
asked for how much of our bursary the college has taken for equipment.That is 2 overalls ,1 pair of safety shoes, ear plugs and safety glasses and our tool box
, 1 set of spanners, 1 set of screwdrivers, 1 set of pliers 1 small breaker bar, 1 hammer and 1 ratchet set. The Staff menber at funding looked up the computer
and told me there are three sections Clothes , Equipment and extra's and the total was £325 !!!!!!!!!, so i asked the tutor what other equipment would we be
receiving this year , the answer was nothing??????? . so i spoke to the class we agreed that what we recieved is no way near even £145 were did the other
money go?, our tutor came back to us and said that we pay for consumables? now that seems strange at face value.

 This Email is just so that someone of importance is aware, of what i am currently doing , because i do not want threw out the college for rocking the boat by
carrying out my duties , i shall attach a price list of what our equipment should cost for your records , and would love to know who to pass this on too as there
is no way on earth that we the students should be paying £190 approx each for consumables that as of yet we have not seen or been alerted too.

Sorry just to maybe clarify , why we are looking into this, a couple of weeks ago, our tutors asked us all approx 30­40 student to attend a demonstration by a
Halfords Rep, he issued us all with Trade Cards and an extra 20% discount , he was showing off a 150 piece guaranteed for life , like for like replacement  in
store tool set, for about £69.99, we all made some noise to various tutors and support staff , about the cost and quality of the tools they were buying for us
from our bursary and frankly we were ignored. We wanted to know if we could put some money to it , to get the Halfords deal, and low and behold they are
actually currently holding more than enough of our money, that we could all have been ahead of game by month 2 of our 1­3 year course , 

So it looks like, as students wanting to reach there maximum potential , we may have had the opportunity to receive a set of tools fit for employment when and
if we qualify.What are your feelings about this ?

So thats were i am at today , about to dig a little deeper before my class reps training on Tuesday , and just feel better knowing , if i suffer any harassment
from those that me be concerned , at least there is a written account of what i am doing.

Please feel free to advise me on this matter i shall attach my complaint currently passed by the college to Scott Gray, Youth Transitions to Employment, Fair
work Directorate,Scottish Government  . and i will send you the price list of our equipment from Machine Mart and we can compare the college numbers
once i put a freedom of information request in tomorrow. Thanks again for helping me in all my various forms , constituent, entrepreneur, Class Rep and soon a
Free Scot. 

P.s i will send the price list tomorrow , i need to work on something for another student about funding, i do not know how you find the time , especially with
constituents like me lol.
