Hi Jamie , We are glad for any assistance you can provide. i have been in communication with the college by email tonight , the class had a vote on
allowing a visit from the senior manger of our department , there is 13 of us , we are currently through social media conducted our vote , the results are
7 No 0 Yes to the visit, by the morning we shall probably be unanimous , i shall copy and paste our email , from earlier tonight 
 
 Good day , Andy i have been thinking over the visit from Mark Ingram , and we would love to welcome him to our campus to discuss these matters ,
but that will not happen until we have had a written response from him . I know this may seem harsh , but words do not stand up in court , so we will
have to refuse the visit on Friday at 11:11 am , as we deem it unacceptable not to receive, the answers to our questions before we have a face to face
with senior management. 
 
So i know what you are probably thinking at the moment , i am only a class rep and this is out of my remit, let me assure  you it is not, i have signed
written permission from all the students in my class to act on there behalf on all matters concerning there complaint be it in my capacity as rep or third
party agent , as the college policy allows , not only that , we the class are linked via social media , and i will confirm with you tomorrow on our vote
regarding Mark Ingrams visit.
 
I am aware , that Mark can obviously attend Cumbernauld campus for other business , but we feel it would be perceived by us, as a form of
harassment. Until such times we have a full written response to our previous correspondence , placing us in a better position to fact check what is said
to us.
 
This is a reasonable request Andy , and if i knew you would just send our concerns  straight upstairs , i would have started their , i shall bear that in
mind for our future dealings.
i will let you know about our vote by lunch time Tuesday 22/11/2016.
 
P.s the vote is currently 5 for NO visit and 0 for a visit  8 not responded so far the First to 7 and we the class will abide by whatever decision is made by
the student body.

Jamie , we have asked for £30 to be transferred from the £170 left unspent , to our 2 fellow students struggling due to an anomaly of there date of birth.
and the remaining £140 to be made available to us the student body , to do a bulk buy deal with a Senior Halfords rep all within our allocated budget, if
you can achieve this we the student body will be content.   Just keeping you in the loop

Good day , I recieved the attached file in response to my list of questions(you have a copy of request), i am currently working on a detailed response.
 As we the class are in direct communication outwith college using group chat features,we have talked over the documents, we have some major
concerns to bring to your attention as our MSP and coincidently our Employability Minister too.
 
1. We were all told at our induction late Aug , that the college would purchase our overalls etc as listed in previous emails to yourself, at a cost to us the
students from our bursary. EMA etc
we have now been told in person from the head of our dept , whom visited class to explain how they can spend this as its ring fenced and is not our
money???.
I have just finished going through NCLANs 60 page charity accounts for last year and it states ­
 
"For Bursary, Discretionary and E.M.A. Funds, the grants are excluded from the Income and Expenditure Account as these grants are available solely
for students with the College acting as paying agent. F.E. and H.E. Childcare funds are included in the Consolidated Income and Expenditure Account.
"
 
2. The college thinks somehow that we the students are just solely students , as you know we are also, the People of Scotland , citizens and the life and
soul of our nation.
And as such there blatant disregard for, not only their moral duty but legal obligation of stretching every single pound we the people supply to them, to
assist us in educating our people.
They seem to think that purchasing our inferior equipment at the highest prices is acceptable , we assure you it is not.
 The attached file also shows receipts from Machine Mart, these are dated several weeks after we recieved our Halfords trade cards and special extra
20% discount voucher from the invited sales rep.
 Which due to the complete incompetence of unknown parties within the college funding senior management team.  None of us could afford to use
these vouchers.
(the attached file clearly shows each student still has £171.83 left unspent ,  the problems with funding are still ongoing.)
 
 To clarify briefly , We the class could have purchased the same equipment the college has supplied at approx 40­60% cheaper , why has the college
not done this?
 And since they have such massive purchasing power , why are we not receiving these  benefits?
  Further more why did we not receive the Tool box/kit fit for employment?( the reps words not ours)
 We are left feeling rather uneasy about the whole thing jamie. 
This is not just a tool box/kit we are complaining about to you today ,Jamie no this could have been what we the students need most desperately, a
chance to Earn and Learn.
 We are too frightened to use our currently supplied high cost low quality product in class and we are refused when we ask permission to take them
home, we have a young boy whom comes from a broken home , on a low income wishing to check and fix his mothers brakes on her car to save the
household and family budget so close to christmas ,brakes is something we have been learning , imagine the look on the boys face when he is told
NO, incase you dont finish the course and keep the tools no one can take them.
 How can this be right Jamie , as our Employability Minister surely you would expect , We your people to have the best tools budgeted for and as the
attached file shows there has only been £165 spent of the £335 . So we appeal to you our Representative to intervene on our behalf, and contact
whom ever is in charge of supplying our bursary to the college, and request that we would like a REFUND please on all items purchased from New
College Lanarkshire , and we the Students will purchase better quality and guaranteed for life all with in the original budget , and who knows we may
even have a little left over , which we would be willing to transfer out to some of the orbital mechanics training, conducted by the college at high schools
community centres across North Lanarkshire.
 
Now so far, i have not even begun to dig deeper , we will have another 6 maybe more, freedom of information requests going in at the same time, to
negate having to waste 20 days each time we need info , but in the short term Jamie , we the students request your assistance in what ever capacity
you see fit as our MSP and the minister in charge of our employability thank you i will get back to you soon.
 
P.S when is the next Monday, Thursday or Friday you are attending Cumbernauld College? i think it important to include my class in the processes of
Government some of them have just turned 16 and our age range is 16­34. since my classmates have shown me the wonders of social media and the
digital world , i think it only fair to show them how the analogue world works , would this be possible outwith your busy surgery times.
