3. Give reasons for any gaps of one year or more in your academic and employment history:
After completing my graduation in 2017 i started looking further options for my higher studies. During research i
decided not to have my further education in science core subjects because it provides very limited career options
and growth is very restricted so while considering other available options i got convinced to have my career in the
field of Information Technology due to its continuously demand in every industry and career growth is also
exceptional. I shortlisted some renowned colleges of my home country which are offering these courses as i did not
want to purse this professional course from an average Indian College. But when i tried to get admission i found
admission requirement of these colleges is very high and also they require to crack competitive entrance exams. In
this way i could not enrol anywhere for the session 2017-2018. Then one of my friend who is already studying in
Canada advised me to have further education from abroad, She explained me many benefits of international
education and exposure of studying in multicultural environment and advised me admission is very easy in foreign
Universities for international students. Then i done some research and took IELTS exam in which i scored 6 bands.
But my father did not allow me to go alone in a new country as he was concerned about my security. Then i started
waiting for commencement of new session to get enrolled in my home country. In the mean time as i was free so i
joined a school to utilise my time in a good manner, where i worked as a science teacher in Shri Dashmesh Public
Senior Secondary School from 4th April 2018 to 31st Oct 2018 to have practical working exposure. During working
one of our relative visited our home and her daughter is already studying in Australia, He advised my father about
safe environment of Australia and urged him to allow me to go Australia for my higher studies. One day my father
asked me about future plans and i explained him about my desire to have international qualification. He appreciated
my decision and asked me go ahead with my dreams. After that i left my job on 31st October 2018 as i had to
continue till this date as per commitment with my employer. Then i started research about to choose best course,
University, and city. I visited some education consultants and surfed on websites to get depth information and finally
applied for admission in USC@ATMC, Sydney Campus.

1. List the details of your selected Australian academic program:

Name of course: Master of Information and Communications Technology

Name of education provider: USC
Address/teaching location: Australia
Commencement & completion dates: March 2019
Annual tuition fees of course: $53200
Course entry requirements: Overall IELTS score of 6.0 with individual band score Listening 6.0, Reading 5.5, Writing 6.0,
Speaking 5.5
Brief description of course contents: Master of Information and Communications Technology course contents are: Network
Technology and Management, Business Analytics and Statistics, Data Analytics, ICT Professional Practice and Ethics.

2. Describe any research you have personally conducted about further study opportunities in your home country or
other countries including Australia:
For my future studies i gave first preference to my home country and i came to know I need to take national-level or state-level
entrance exams for admission to IT/ICT courses in colleges or universities which is quite tough to appear in and it takes
approximate 12 to 18 months to get prepared for and even after that admission is not guaranteed in best Indian colleges like
IIT’s, Delhi Technological University, Thapar university, Punjab Engineering college etc(Which are offering related courses) due
to huge number of applications for admission with comparison to available seats and on the other hand in average Indian
colleges admission is very easy but they don’t have proper infrastructure and faculty, practical workshops, no industry
placement so I don’t want to waste my time and money in local Indian college.
As far as I also considered UK, Canada, and USA as study destination. I found USA (which is first and foremost preferred
destination) offers high quality of education but it is very difficult to get admission as it based upon entrance test of
GMAT/GRE/SAT/ACT which is very difficult to clear and a needs long time to be devoted in order to score high . After that I
searched for Canada where weather conditions are too cold as compare to India and secondly I was given the options of
Graduate Diploma in Canadian colleges as per discussion with consultants which was not my preference. UK and USA also
does not offer post study work visa to students which means after investing huge money there is advantage of getting
international experience. Even comparing the tuitions fees and living expenses of Australia is much affordable than USA and
UK.

Annual tuition fees of course:1,37,000 Rs per year

procedure and requirements i got disappointed as college offers admission on very high cut off marks every year in
which my academic score cannot be considered.

3. Why did you choose your selected course and education provider instead of one of the other options above?
After completing BSc with core subjects further i want to have a qualification which can provide me multiple and broad career
opportunities. As world is becoming digital and requirement of ICT professionals is increasing with overwhelming growth. IT
has captured the world in a pocket in shape of smart phones. Every sector utilizes this field for their growth and hence the
demand of the experts has risen widely and ICT is the most fast growing field of Information Technology. When I go through
the course structure of this particular course, I find that this course will be helpful for me to satisfy and broaden my career
development needs. I found my desired in many Australian Universities like many Australian university like Latrobe, WSU,
UOW, Swinburne University etc but i prefer to pursue this course from USC @ATMC campus. I selected this university due to
many positive factors with comparison to other universities like entry requirements, reasonable fee structure, campus
location is attractive, course curriculum, short classrooms , reviews of alumni students etc.
4. How is your selected course relevant to your past education and employment history? If there is no link, why are
you seeking a change of discipline and future career path?
As i have done my Bachelor degree with science core subjects and i found career options are very restricted if do my further
education by selecting any one core subject. I was looking for a field which can provide me excellent career options so after
doing a research finally i selected this course which is also related so science but in different specialisation which is a fastest
growing industry since last some years because current world has become digital world and Information technology and
use of its applications is increasing in every industry and IT professionals are too much needed. As I have particularly
focused on mathematics, physics, and chemistry after my class 10, it suits me the best to pursue this course. I am very
interested and excited to pursue a higher qualification in this field. This program will help me to progress further in my
life as after this 2 years program I will get post study work permit in which I will get invaluable international experience and
exposure during my time in Australia. When I will return my home country then this experience is not only fruitful but also
lifelong treasure which will generate exceptional jobs for me.
